Too risky for even me :no Those are the roads where you really see guys crashing and burning... 100mph for 5 miles and the whoops! a 20mph turn bites you I dont think we even go that fast on blood mtn.

Yea, I hear ya on those cheese graters:eek: I always feel leery on the turns that are close to it, but there are alot of turns on the other side with some runoff room. Those are the good ones. If you know the road and dont fly on the nasty corners, its not bad at all. Definitely dangerous if you dont know the road though. Its nice to head up there on a hot day when its such a drops in temp too. *sp edit

I had a blast riding the Skyway, but yes it can be very dangerous. I really love the section from the Joyce Kilmer to the large overlook were everyone pulls over. From that point on down to Tellico Plains it's not as fun for me since it's mostly downhill.

Heck they are all wonderful roads...I wanna ride!!!!!!!!!!:jump :jump oh crap, that sounded like a honda commercial:scared :fork

Too bad there are alot of po-po.... But if I had to choose just 1 road to ride (without fear of tickets), it would be Blood Mtn over Deals Gap.

Is it just curves? cops patrol it like crazy since every bike in the state goes there? exactly where is it?

Originally posted by MinnesotaR1 Is it just curves? cops patrol it like crazy since every bike in the state goes there? exactly where is it? the whole area is awesome! It is 318 curves in 11 miles. But that is just the Gap, there are tons of other great roads in the area. Cops do patrol it from time to time but you get fair warning most of the time and that is only on middle of the day during weekends. Weekdays are fine and mornign and evenings are fine too. check out www.tailofthedragon.com for some good info. Come to the East Coast Convention with us:yesnod

Blood mountain = no chance of knowing where the po po are. really high speeds with mommy vans in the mix. wide open so everybody can see you Deals Gap = always knowing where the po po are. hidden road less speed so you can slow down to inconspicuous speed in an instant. way more curves. all you buddies at the overlook we need to do another GAP trip for old times sake!!!

Awesome bro! let me know what you decide! There are quite a few guys coming down from Philly so I am sure you could hook up with someone. As for trailering...that is completely up to you. We have guys that ride and some that trailer. I trailer for two reasons...not enough room on the bike for what all I bring...not to mention I will bring at least 2 bikes maybe 3...and the other reason for me is God forbid I go down I will have a way to get my stuff back home if the bike is not rideable. But if you want to ride down then ride down...if something happens we will find you a way home...no worries bro:thumbup
