I bought a CatterBox alarm (model HJC 2002) and had a friend help me install it - did not work. Problems: 1. We connected all wires according to the diagram. 2. Alarm chirped 3. Hit the alarm to activate it - chirped twice. No flashing blinkers or LED. 4. Hit the remote button again and blew the fuse. 5. Tried unsuccessfully again several times. Returned it to the place I bought it Parts411 - no problem. They ordered me a new one. Second one: 1. Installed according to diagram and same exact problem as the above. I did not install the ignition wires, but the diagram says you can cut those. 2. I am ready to :machinegu this piece of shit. 3. I called the manufacturer and he said that it sounds defective. I told him that it was the second one. He said he would have the product manager contact me. If the product manager tells me that it is defective - I will take this piece of shit back and never order another. Summary: The alarm is a piece of shit !!!!!!!! The diagram is very easy to follow and I have had two other people look at it. Note: One guy that I had look at it has one on his bike. DO NOT RECOMMEND this piece of shit :butt Jim out

Here is a letter I emailed to the company: Hi, my name is Jim Kratz. I purchased one of your alarms from Parts411.com. I had a friend, also has the exact alarm on his bike, help me install the alarm. We followed the diagram exactly. The alarm chirped once. I hit the remote button (the first button) and it chirpped twice. Note the blinkers did not blink and the LED did not blink. We tried to deactivate it and it blew the fuse. We checked the wiring and tried again - same thing. I took the alarm back to Parts411.com and they ordered another one. I carefully tried to install it and the same thing. I did not attach the blue wires. I called your company and the tech could not help me - he told me it may be defective. He told me he would have the Product Manager call me and I have not heard from him yet (an hour latter). I am not happy with your product at all. I posted my review (bad) on several large motorcycle forums and have got several responses back. All the responses were bad. One guy went through two alarms just as I did and was not happy with it at all. I am returning your alarm and going to go with one of your competitors - Gorilla alarms. Note that I have posted my review on several big motorcycle forums and will tell all of the people I ride with about this experience. I had to pay $10.00 for the delivery of your product - defective. I also drove 120 miles to exchange it and - deffective. I think that you need to apply more effective quality control standards with your product. I can be reached at www.jimspad247@excite.com for further comments. I sent a review of your product to the following: 1. www.r1-forum.com 2. www.esportbike.com I will also send a review of your product to several other forums. Not a happy customer. Jim

No, I called them twice. I wrote them an email and nothing....... I was very unhappy with that company, their technical support, and sales department. I took it back and will never buy another. Jim
