Went for a ride. About a 100 miles, bike starts choking and gurgling pull off to the side and the bike dies. Error code 46. Felt like the regulator/rectifier going bad happening all over again since my 99. :machinegu
Push the fooker 4miles to a bike shop and after a check they need to replace the stator as well. They said this and the regulator/rectifier are burned up literally. Anybody ever have a stator go out on them like this? Oh yeah, bill is 700 bucks.
:cryin

start checking your voltage, there's a diagnostic step by step in the manual. if i remember correctly, start at the battery and make sure its getting charged at about 14v.

Well from my experience code 46 point to the chrging system. So start with the battery and work your way up to the regulator and stator. And check all of your connections and your chassis ground. :thumbup
