The problem is when I turn ignition key on and system runs all checks my bike starts to tick/buzz and keeps ticking all the time (engine is off). I dont get any errors or anything it just keeps buzzing on and on and its very disturbing. Sound is coming from somwhere where exup is. Anyone got any ideas what that might be? Here is the vid of it http://www2.arnes.si/~jkorin/ufo/problem.avi

Ok I did a little search about it on the forum and found some stuff about this problem. The only thing I cant find is how to adjust Exup system. Can someone point me in the right direction please?

Hi,
Sounds like your exup servo.
Try to disconnect the cable from the servo (fast connect on the servo) to see if sound disappears when you turn on the ignition.
(Error code 17 will show up in your display)
If sound is still there, you know its NOT the servo.
Then connect it again to see if it’s ok. (AFTER you turn OFF ignition)
If the sound is still there, look at the servo at the same time as you put on the ignition to see if the servo moves at all, or just stands still and continue ticking.
Remove the cover from the butterfly valve on the exhaust and see the position of the valve. 2 allan key screws 5mm.
Look at the position of the valve.
During ignition initialising the valve should fully open and close.
If you don’t have a manual, PM me and I can send you the pages with the exup.
Good luck

Hi. I've got a similar problem on my '05. When I turn on the ignition and let it go through the diagnostics it used to then go silent whereupon I hit the start button. Now it goes through the diagnostics but then there's continuous noise coming from the exup valve. Performance isn't affected. Did you get your problem fixed and what was it if so? I was booked in to the dealers but when I arrived the problem had disappeared. As soon as I got home the problem was back. Sods law.

Had the same prob last week. I ****ed up the adjusters when changing the rear shock since winter rebuild. Didn't notice the ticking sound untill this week when changing the oil.
Exup cable adjustment fixed it. I didn't even notice it was lacking power mid powerband. Now it's all hell breaking loose when wacking it in 2nd :2bitchsla
