I am going to do my first trackday and the main question I have is what tires to buy. The trackday is in mid November so the weather could be cool if that makes a diference. Also any other advice would be appriciated.

my advice to u is tires are alot cheaper than bikes so go for a good set of race tires i prefer metzelers rennsports super soft front and soft rear

I was probably going to go with the sportec m-1s mainly because of the cost but thats a good point on tires being alot cheaper than the damage to the bike would be if I went down. How do the race compound tires react to cooler weather??

Well, you should be good with the M-1's I presume. I attended a trackday recently and in the morning session it was only about 60 degrees, plus it had rained the previous day. I was running Pilot Sports and after about 4 (to be safe) warm up laps I was draggin knees and pushing pretty well.

BTW, when is the trackday in Nov at TWS? I would be interested in going and might need to reserve my spot.
