Does anyone in the UK know where I can get some SS Caliper Bolts?

I have tried (even Ebay) but can only find Titanium, which I cannot justify or afford.

I wouldn't use SS caliper bolts without doing some engineering. SS generally has about 1/3 the yield strength of a good CRMO bolt. If you put in SS bolts and torque to spec you may be removing the broken stubs. You may find some chrome or cadmium plated bolts but I don't know where. good luck, Jerry

You should be able to go to any major Nut & Bolt/Fastener supplier near you. Maybe try:

Thanks Julian, must admit I have sort of gone off SS because of the post before yours. I was hoping to get get an exact copy (Drilled Out as in the original bolt) in SS, but if it is going to be weaker I guess its a NO GO.

I usually use AHC in Camberley for replacement SS bolts. A couple of weeks ago I popped down there with a crappy philips float chamber bolt and came home with some nice Buttonhead SS alan bolts to replace them all with. Also replaced the Exup Servo bracket Philips bolts at the same time. Very reasonably priced too.

Until I started delving into the bikes innards I didn't think Yamaha used philips headed bolts any more.

I was lucky enough to work for an engineering firm where there was a large supply of cap head bolts, some of which found their way into my garage!!!

I tend to replace most bolts I remove from anything with those of better quality. Without doubt though the worst bolts I've ever come across are all the star drive items on my Renault Laguna where the heads are about as strong as chocolate. Nice car, crap bolts.
