Since this is a feeler, I guess you're looking for advice. There a couple of bikes just like this available for between 8000-8500. The mileage ranges from 1500-3500, but I don't think that's enough to justify your price. Also, procycle in MO sells 06 r1's for about 10,000. I hope this helps. Sorry to hear about your financial issues.

Seems like solid advice to me. I bought my 04 end of season prior to 05's coming out. I got it brand new off the showroom floor for $9300. We are 1/2 way through the revised 06 model run. Anything north of $9K shouldn't really be expected. Also, keep in mind someone would still have to add taxes to your price to register it, which put their cost at closer to $11k based on your 10.2 asking price...not realistically going to happen for a used 05. Not busting your chops, just providing some input.

Right, I dont expect to get $10,200. That is what I owe and am looking for something similar if I decide to sell for sure.. Just fishing for offers right now. I know I wont get the full payoff, but definitely in the 9's. As far as taxes are concerned... That just all depends on what the bill of sale says. this isnt my first bike (or vehicle for that matter) that I have sold via boards. :thumbup

I got ya, but you did say that $10.2K was what you were looking to get and as far as taxes...you're right anyone can lie about what they paid for a used bike and minimize the tax burden. Still, based the bike itself and what others are going for, something over $9k shouldn't be expected. I may be wrong...there are some born every minute. I wish I had the extra money to help you out, but me being 17, and having to pay for the bike myself sets me back. All I have is 8K and I know that your bike is worth way much more than that and it is an insult to offer less than 8800. I guess that I will have to settle for less and get a new r6, Ive seen them for 8K new.

Good luck with the sale, I have no clue why this bike is still for sale. Its a steal for 8800 with less than 400 miles.
