I'm going to the gap for the convention and would like to have someone ride with me from Richmond Virginia. I will supply truck and trailer. I have reservations at a willow cabin at www.fontanavillage.com I'll be staying from tues-sun and you would have to help pay for gas and cabin.

although there are hundreds of people from the NorthEast attending, their route is out of the way of Richmond, VA. They will branch off in DC, head towards Manassas, VA, then towards I81. I81 is a stright shot down for us. Good Luck! Voodoo

Thanks I realize that. I just wanted to know if someone wanted to carpool out. I'm riding the bike out on 6-1-06-----6-5-06. and just didn't want to turn around and do it again trailering less than 2 weeks later alone. My yukon denali loves gas and its sort of a waste to drive it puling a trailer with only 1 bike. I might use my neighbors nissan truck or just suck it up and ride back out for the second trip.

Trust me, the gas thing has been discussed MANY times. I know people with Ford-2500 and they expect $350.00 in gas each way from Iowa! Not pretty at $3.25 a gallon.:( Even my Blazer feels it in these times. Voodoo

I was a "4th" wheel as I recall but still enjoyed myself. Ft. Belvior NCO club was the real party. Chrystal City was the sh*t. Andrews Air Force Base had a nice club also. Other than that, head to Haines Point to show off the car in DC. Voodoo

Take 360 to 58W, to 29S, to 40 W. From Richmond you should be there in about 8 hours. You may be able to find someone in N.C. that may need a ride.
