With the LP rear stand i can put the bike up while its on the kickstand with the vortex i have to have someone hold the bike straight up to put it on the stand

Every stand I have, I have had to hold the bike up straight and put it on the stand.. It's an art that takes a little getting used to; but once you get the hang of it, it's second nature..Hold the bike up straight with your left hip against the tail...

babyit11 06-09-2006, 11:55 PM OH..................
yes that does suck.i have the LP stand myself, but its the universal 3 piece stand. you can adjusted to fit any bike. i want to get the part so i could us the spools.
right now it has the plate bracket that holds the bike from the bottom of the swingarm.
i do like the fact that i can lift the bike up from the kickstand. try to sell it then im sure it will sell fast

they have a few diffrent ones
i have a pic of the one i borrowed i'll post it
THE MUFFIN MAN 06-10-2006, 07:16 PM i have had handy, LP, and pitbull, now i have the VORTEX and it is every bit as good as a pitbull, but better because it is lighter. it also has "pods" mounted on the end to place your axles in so they don't pick up dirt and crap while changing a wheel. best stands i have owned.

YellowRider 06-14-2006, 05:21 PM I just got the vortex stand and it kicks azz! I dont know why you think its bad, I really dont mind holding it up to put on the spools. Anyways, the vortex rear stand has 4 wheels and the stand looks very very strong, nice thick bars, easy to adjust. Better then the cheaper ones that look like you can break in half.. cant complain here..

I agree! The Vortex is very well-made - it will last a life-time. I have the Baxley chock up front so there is never any risk when engaging the rear stand - other than scratching the swingarm - which is not even an issue since I wrapped the cradles with electrical tape to pad them. I highly recommend the Vortex stands AND the Baxley.
rocketrider 06-23-2006, 11:10 AM well I say they suck cause my bike fell off of it twice but it didn't get damage cause it is close to the wall and it just leaned on the wall. My stand for some reason is wobbly and the floor in my garage is flat.
rocketjockey88 06-24-2006, 06:16 PM The bike fell?! Do you have the Vortex stand pictured above? Unreal! Are you using the padded bushings or do you have swingarm spools? I DO NOT recommend using the bushings! Ya gotta get the spools bro. No bike is safe on any stand unless you have them.
