Just completed a two day school at Mid Ohio with CLASSrides headed up by Reg Pridmore. The school was well organized and offered a lot of instruction on smoothing out everything from shifting up and down to braking while using the front only, the rear only and both front and rear at the same time. Check your ego at the door. There will be people you can pass on the outside without a problem and then you'll be getting passed on the outside too. There is always someone faster out there. Nothing like going 3 wide in turn 1 at over 110mph. Mid Ohio was recently resurfaced and cars ran on it last weekend so the traction was the best it was going to get. All of the concrete patches were removed so there was no taking alternate lines to get around the patches. The surface was smooth without any bumps in it. It is amazing how the Pilot Powers held up. I had no issues with grip on the same tires over the two days. The front tire still has nobbies on it since the sides saw most of the action. Got my toes and knees down for the first time. Kind of spooks you at first but you get use to it. Turns 4 (The Keyhole,), turn 7 and turn 14 (the carrisel) were the most fun and most challenging. Over the two days, I completed approx. 80 laps. The weather was excellent. We were able to use the paddocks as well. We left all of our equipment overnight. If you get a chance to get onto MidOhio this year, don't pass it up. The track is in the best shape of any tracks you will ride this year. Chris
