Dates for 07 convention set...

Hey fellas, the dates are set for the convention for 2007. It is the 2nd week of June, June 11-17th, if you want to schedule time off or vacation etc. This isn't the official thread but mainly to just let everyone know the dates are set. I mailed in the contract this week to block off our cabins and rooms. I will try and post up the official thread in the next few weeks with all the details to date. Chad

It is the group rates they give us.

I am in. Reserved a Dogwood. I asked for one right behind the Magnolias and the girl told me they dont give cabin numbers till you get there. Whats up with that??? Chad can you pull some strings for me, I was trying to get the one that was right by the end of Shuckstack and actually had a parking area behind it off of shuckastack. Either way, she said they would note my request to be by shukstack.

Kevin they don't give out cabin numbers in case they need to have certain people in certain cabins. That way they don't commit someone to a cabin and then can't move them. They try and put us all as close together as possible. I can call at any point and request that certain people be in certain cabins if I need someone close or whatever. They try to cater to the person putting the event together and allow that person that person (me, lol)to arrange people in cabins that may need to be on close by...like those helping get food each night or prizes etc. that kind of thing.

im gonna make my decision comes january, i want to know if ill graduate this year before i commit.

Like I said, this isn't an offical announcement of the convention...just a head's up to let folks know so they can start making plans. I will post up the official thread soon.

Yeah, they are good about giving guys the same cabin most of the time if you have had it multiple years. Fontana works with us good. BTW, they got the Contract today...the Front Desk will have all the info ready for reservations starting tomorrow morning.

But the thread that I was thinking about is no longer here. :confused: You're probably thinking of me. I'm in MN, but still uncertain about making it to Deal's Gap. Too many things to plan for next year between family, business and competitions. If I make it down, I'll be leaving MN almost a week and a half before the convention weekend. I'm planning on competing again in Kansas City, and if I go to Deal's Gap I'd be leaving right from there. Being as I don't have a street bike anymore, bike will be either trailered or in the back of the van if it fits (preferably to save gas). If I go and trailer the bike, you're welcome to ride with. Otherwise, Bogie might be able to hook you up. If I make it, I won't be on the street. But, I'd be looking forward to the off-roading on this. :rock

yes i have to say the gap was very fun this weekend. we camped out saturday night when we roled in around 330 it was about 45 to50 degrees very cold put the tent up was in bed by 4 and was up by 5 because of some idiot in a truck and being cold. stayed at the CROT for sunday night and had some great riding sunday but this morning wet cold and wet leaves on the road. cant wait until i get to go back
