I only wish it was a stem stand in front for those neck adjustments. I will have to crack and buy a pitbull eventually for this reason! Sabian 10-09-2006, 12:27 PM Redline stands from Redline Engineering. Check out Ian (r1formetoo) here on the forum, he'll hook you up nicely. http://www.redlinestands.com/ R1sti 10-09-2006, 07:05 PM I am looking into a stand for my 05 R1... If you want the best go with Pitbull. If you only use a stand once in a while
check out this site http://www.checkeredflagmotorsports.net/stands.html
great price for both front and rear stand, $125.00 including shipping. AndyC 10-09-2006, 08:03 PM Wood Craft get's my vote - I'm very happy with mine. They are well made and very sturdy. I have the rear spool stand and the front steering shaft pin stand. tslee 10-10-2006, 01:29 PM I spent the $$$ and got the PitBulls. They work great. ChrisYZFR1 10-10-2006, 01:34 PM Pitbulls are very nice. I have the GYT-Rs and they are sweet IMO. gfracerx 10-10-2006, 01:39 PM Spend the money and get the Pitbulls:rock

I'll second that. I've had a couple of different stands and the Pitbulls are definitely the nicest. It's actually easier to lift up the rear end with the Pitbulls as well. That $125 price is a really good deal!:thumbup kickin_it 10-10-2006, 06:56 PM I have Pitbull stands and they have worked great. But I hear that Redline ( a forum sponsor here) stands work well also. No longer a sponsor...but still a great product. tran901 10-10-2006, 07:27 PM Pitbull all the way...i love mine
redline stands are great...Ian is a nice guy lives by me
checkered flags are nice...most of my friends use those....100bux for both...you can't go wrong...vs 150 for 1 pitbull stand SteelR1 10-10-2006, 07:35 PM I had Lockhart Phillips one before I bought a set of Pittbulls, I love them!!!
I didn't hear about Redline stands till after I bought the Pittbulls, but I hear Redline is a VERY GOOD product. I have never heard anything bad on them. V-MAN 10-11-2006, 05:48 AM I've got the Pitbulls also ... great quality and worth the $$$$$
I raise all my bikes off the floor during the winter storage so I did not mind paying a little more money for the "peace of mind" knowing the Pitbulls are very sturdy and my bike will stay in the air. I'd hate coming out finding a failed stand and my bike on the floor. :( AndyC 10-11-2006, 05:48 AM I'm surprised no one has mentioned the WoodCraft ones yet, besides me:). Am I the only one that has them? Price wise I think they are about the same as Pitbulls. | |
