I just wanted to make those folks going to the '07 Deal's Gap Meet from East/Central PA, Western MD and VA areas an offer to haul extra luggage down to the meet. Since I have reservations at the Fontana Campground I'll be travelling down in a 37' motorhome. This puppy has tons of extra storage space in it and if you can meet me before I start or on the way down I could probably take some of the extra weight for you if you're going down by bike instead of trailering. The plan is to leave Auburn (30mi North of Reading PA) on the afternoon of June 9th. I'll be taking the following routes to the meet. 78/22 West to 81 South to 40 South to 40 West to 74 West to 28 West I'll be making a two day trip out of it. Probably spend the night of the 9th in a Wal-mart parking lot somewhere in Western VA. I also plan on staying for the entire meet before the trip back. Let me know if you're interested. If plans change (June's a long way off) I will edit this post

P.S. This will be the monstrosity you'll be looking for. It'll have an '07 strapped to the rear end, if you're passing us on the way feel free to wave us over and say hi or add your gear.

wow, what a beauty. your offer is very generous of you man! Thanks, she's old but she'll haul a lot. It has a "full basement" cargo areas that run all the way across from one side to the other. I remember what it was like to have a bike as my only vehicle or not having a trailer to tow bikes with. Long trips were bad enough without having a half ton of crap bungee'd to the bike. Therefore, I offer to help. :)

Wow that thing is huge. Great on you to offer to haul. Might i make one offer in the form of a suggestion though. When you get to the overlook, find a biker to lead you through the gap. That thing is long enough that you'll take both sides of the road on the turns...you dont' want to make someone have a bad day when they come around a curve and you are sittn there.

Nice suggestion, and I'd use it if I were going to try to take on the Dragon with it but... I'm staying at the Fontana Campground and coming in from the Northeast so I won't have to run the Gap in the monster. ;)

Crikey that's a huge RV!!! Nice of you to make the offer. Thanks Skanks, actually it looks big until you put it anywhere in the same zipcode of one of those 45' diesel monsters with the 26" wheels and 6 slideouts. Then it looks like day camper.
