Convention Trackday

Last year Nesba ran CMP the weekend before the Convention at Deals Gap.... If they run it again the same weekend I am thinking about doing it. It was a great way to kick off the week.... 312r1, Bestman77 and I all did Sat. and Sun. last year and had a hoot... It about a 5 hour drive from CMP to Deals Gap. Just throwing it out there if anyone is interested. Nesba will release they'er 07 sch. in Jan. sometime. Nesba will be running CMP in Kershaw SC on June 9/10. The price is $155 per day. If I can get the time off from work (which SHOULDN'T be a problem), then I'd be interested in hitting the track before the convention. Hopefully I'll know something about vacation time at the end of January.

STT's sch. just came out...... they dont have anything for the 9/10th of June anywhere near Deals Gap..... fingers crossed for Nesba.

Good grief! I'd be insane to ride about 1000 miles to get to Deal's Gap alone. And to try to get a Warrior in on a track day/weekend? I'd have to be totally nuts huh? So how much is it for the weekend?:sing:

honestly scott, i doubt it. I would like to but me and eddie may try and do a race on the next sunday, haven't decided yet. but either way I usually use that weekend to make sure everything is in line for the convention.

Alright its after the new year so Im going to start keeping track of who's going. I post it up on my first post. I know its far out but would like to try to keep a running track of how many people are coming. Either post up here or shoot me a pm.

My Membership with NESBA expires in June, not sure if i'm gonna renew because most guys I ride with around here are with TPM..Can i still book this day even though its in june? do i have to renew my membership again just for that? :dunno

Saturday races are for cash on race weekends, the sunday races are for points and contingency...that is what I don't want to miss. Me, Eddie, and rob are all doing it.

I work on the convention year round so I am not going to miss it for one race. Only reason I am working so hard to make this race it because I am going for some championships this year racing and if you miss a race then you loose a boatload of points. and yeah, living where i do makes it possible because all the southeast races are withing about 3 hours of my house. I am just glad it isn't Jennings that weekend, lol.
