I know this question is a shot in the dark because there were so few of these bikes, but it was a last ditch effort kangaroo 12-28-2006, 01:19 PM I Have A 2006 R1 Le, And Need A Rear Rotor, Any Fellow Le Owners Here? what is your issue that you need help with then? In the great words of Jerry Maguire, "Help me to help you." :thumbup RAMRACE 12-28-2006, 01:33 PM okay i shoudlve been more descriptive of my problem. I have a 2006 r1 LE, i sent the stock rotor out to be modified by a credible company, turns out they are not so credible. So now my rotor is lost, and for any of you LE owners out there, the wheels on that bike do NOT accept a stock R1 rotor, nor are they standard Marchesini wheels, they are special wheels made only for this bike and have a very different hub pattern, that will not except any rotor i have seen. I was going on the slim hope that #1 there were some LE owners on here and #2 that someone had tried to replace thier rotor, number two is probably a rediculous hope, there are hardly any of these bikes out there, and most people who own them are smart enough not to take the rotor off. stupid me:dundun: Wheat 12-28-2006, 01:35 PM Its easy to replace the rear rotor...Just remove the wheel and the Allen bolts from the rotor...
Nevermind....... kangaroo 12-28-2006, 02:07 PM Wheatman you're losing your edge... :lol
must be the holidays...
Part is 103 bucks
ok to save some money... so the part no. are different but it is on a 5 bolt pattern. Measure the distance between one bolt to another. If the distance is the same then you can use a generic rear rotor from a regular model. Those are easier to get 2nd hand. RAMRACE 12-28-2006, 03:27 PM my fault for not being more clear in my post, but i have been through all avenues you can think of to get a replacement rotor for this bike, the part from yamaha is backordered indefinantly with no release date. And there is no other model that i know of that uses the same bolt pattern as this, the id of the rotor carrier has to be 70mm with a five bolt mounting pattern. There is no aftermarket rotor that i have found that fits. I was really just looking for someone who had actually gone through this, not a bunch of guesses. | |
