How do I remove the damper rod from my forks? [Archive]

I'm in the process of dissembling my forks and I'm suck at removing the damper rod. I can turn the bolt at the bottom of the fork but it doesn't seem like its coming out. Do I really need a rod holder? or is their another bolt/screw that the service manual failed to mention?:eek: Thanks.

You either need the rod holder or use an impact gun to remove the bolt.
