I have just been given the MOST dissapointing news... Tricolores will not land until APRIL! So, that means I either buy an S, and spend 5k on the full system w/ filter and ecu, OR swallow my pride and buy an new R1... or suffer the indignity of riding the fckin barge for a few more months, and NOT doing afterburners :(

BUY A FARKEN S!!!!!!!! Sheesh.... And 5k for an exhaust system?? **** that!:banned: Get a farken slip on with filter and ecu and what more would you want?:dunno How many friggen Ducati 1098 S models do you think you will come across???Not too many.:fact I've seen all of three S model 999's on the road since they've been released so that won't be a problem if that's what you want. Do it,cause you had your heart set on a 1098 and like Gerrod said, you'll be happy with the R1 but you'll always be kicking yourself about not buying the Ducati.:fact Don't be silly, get the S!:thumbup

Just a little curious mate.....You justified the f**k out of buying the barge (R1 hurt your body too much and other reasons that I can't recall) - why buy the 1098 or new R1 (I know they're dead sexy.) when it will probably give you the same problems as you've had in the past.

:iamwithst I think the Deadcati will be far more uncomfortable then the R1 spend all that saved money on the R1.... I reckon it will be a better bike in the end for it.... so what if there is no distinguished bragging rights at the cafe cause is a normal jap bike. woopee.

Yes but you have a flame R1... the paint schemes for Aus are shit from what I've seen... I would want the red/black one, not the gay white with red... and every one will buy the black ones Which one? If we get the red... http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h77/gytr_r1/07r1_red_1_04e438ec.jpg http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h77/gytr_r1/06_800.jpg

Could be worse... I had a few drinks the other night to celebrate a court victory... I walked to the corner shop to but some cigarettes (I know, I'm quitting v soon).. It was a really hot night, so I was walking with no t-shirt on, and got stopped by police on the way home.. (They were nivestigating vandals or something)... They could smelll the alcohol on my breat, and ended up - not esorting me home - but putting me in the remand center overnight... Man that place really sucks.. I stilll had no shirt on, and the guy I was celled up with asked what they meant... I thought "what the hell, this could pass some time".. So I offered to teach him a few moves.. Within 30 seconds, 4 big burly cops jumped in the cell and held me down.. I can hold my own, but I had no reason to fight the police officers.. But still (because of my obvious violent nature lol) they held me in remand for like 12 hours... Man that place sucks.. My next cell mate offfered me all kinds of drugs (he even had e's in his pocket) but was at least interesting to talk to... And to top it off, they released me the next morning, in the middle of the city, with no shirt, covered in tattoos.... How the hell was I going to get a cab home? Fortunately the very first cab I hailed stopped, and we had a laugh about the experience...

Are you talking about de-ristricting it?:dunno Akrapovic full exhaust (YEC factory spec) - :thumbup PCIII or the YEC ECU, depending on whether or not it’ll plug into the stock harness - PCIII plugs in,pretty sure all power commanders do!:fact High flow air filter - :thumbup DMVRPM Suspension (Racetech internals front and rear) - :thumbup YEC Clutch springs - Ohlins steering damper - :thumbup Carbon Fibre clutch friction plates (Barnett?) - Stage II (Pre MotoGP) YEC Cams YEC Valve Spring Set 0.30 mm gasket YEC Light weight rotor YEC Piston set 520 chain and sprocket Apart from the 520 conversion, replace the stage II tune with the following.... One set of race glass in black fibreglass. Lap timer Tyre warmers Race stands Braided lines Rear sets Trailer for motorcycle One piece leather suit A couple sets of slicks Half a dozen Phillip Island track days Stop being a miserable prick stuck in a hole in bum fcuk north...... AND MOVE TO MELBOURNE!:D :thumbup
