I'm in Washington, specifically Redmond Sammamish area. I'm currently a non-R1 owner but have a 2000 VFR if I can get my Wife:boobies I would have a Silver and Black 02 in my garage. Oh the pain.:cryin

I'm over in Mukilteo. Currently riding a '93 900RR, but my blue 02 R1 is in and I expect to have it this weekend. A buddy of mine got his silver one last tuesday and we'll be wanting to get them broken in ASAP.

I picked my new Red/Black R1 up on Wed. Was able to put 25 miles on it before putting it away, now if only the Damn rain woudl stop:cryin Let me know when you want to ride, I'm almost always willing, besides it would be very cool to have all 3 colors going down the street. Michael@levenson.org

Picked up my blue baby on friday. Was only able to put 71 miles on it this weekend, all on sunday. I can't believe the torque and power this bike has. I can't wait till she's broken in. :D

I was only able to put on about 20 miles Sunday just to damn cold. If the weather holds for this weekend I'm planning on some riding. If you are interested let me know. I'm either going to head south or north. I'm just couting the days for Windy ridge to open up so I can see just how much better this bike really is compared to my VFR. I loved that road on my VFR and I'm sure I will have orgasms all day long on my NEW R1 as I kick my buddies ass on his 929.:rock :rock

How'd you get screwed by Lynnwood? And how much did they want for the bike cause I bought mine from there. Send me a private email to discuss. You should maybe talk to University Yamaha.

Well I got to get out and put some more miles on today. currently sitting at 164.7. :rock Plus I have to put fuel in it when I ride again. :beer . Went down to Auburn to ride Flaming Geiyser road. I like that since it's close and give you the ability to scrub the sides a little. road was nice and dry with no sand. Just had to deal with a cage or 3. Spent most of the time riding in 4th gear to keep the rpms down and speed up. All I can say is Damn this bike is FUN:rock

I put a few more miles on today. I was so tempted to leave work early and put on some serious miles but I didn't. If it's nice tomorrow I'm gonna just do it. Can you send a map or post a link to the road you are talking about down in Auburn?

There is a lot of talk about getting a group ride started here in the Seattle area but not a whole lot of action. I live in Mount Lake Terrace (what's up R1 Everyday?) I propose that those of you who are members of the R1 Forum and who live in the Seattle area should form an e-mail list. By sending me an e-mail letting me know that you are interested, I would be willing to coordinate a ride with the help of your input and hopefully get a club, gang, or whatever the hell we'd be together. From the sound of things, Darkside, R1 Everyday, 2002yzf_r1, and myself all live close enough to each other to get the madness rolling, and If Mademan wanted to make a road trip, I'm sure there would be room for him as well. Also if you want to include any riding buddies, the more the merrier. My E-mail is Shaft3rd@yahoo.com (the plague of I-5) If/when you write, include ride suggestions and days in your schedule that would work for you. P.S. As for Lynwood Motoplex, don't get me started... :iamwithst

It was cool to pop on here and immediately meet Washington riders itchin' to ride, most not more than a few miles from my home. I'm just off 128th/I-5, called Bothell, but Lynnwood far as I'm concerned. I'm temp working on the other side of the state (Moses Lake) and picked up my new 2001 R1 couple days ago. Cold weather here is keeping me from riding, yesterday we were still getting snow. 3-4 more weeks left on the present job, and I'm starting an extented vacation back at home, and I'll be up for some riding (breakin is bogus :o). I'm counting on this shitty weather to clear up by then, I'm way ready for spring/summer. Anyone wants to hang out on the asphalt, shoot me an email. peace, erik

Looks like the gang is growing I have recieved e-mails for 2002yzf_r1, Darkside, and apparently R1 Everyday tried to send me an e-mail (please try again). This Saturday I am going to head down to Seattle Cycle Center and try to hook up with R1 Everyday. 2002yzf_r1 and Darkside have expressed interest in setting up a local R1 web page to post our availability and planned rides. In response to their desire, I am going to send each an e-mail and everyones e-mail addresses who have expressed interest and get a page up and running as soon as possible. Hopefully we will be able to make concrete plans by the middle of this coming week for a future ride, weather permitting. If it is not raining/snowing Saturday, and you are available, I suggest meeting at Seattle Cycle at 11:00 and we can work out the details in person... I'll be wearing a baseball cap which has the word TOOTH across the front. Hope to see you there. P.S. Holly Lord, 6'7" R1 Everyday? Is it legal to ride a sport bike when your that big? :p

Ok, here is the deal we are going to meet at the StarBucks at Denny and 7th in Seattle at 9:00am. From there we are going north to catch the 10:10am Edmonds Ferry to Kingston. Route from there is going to be off the cuff as I'm not familiar with that side of the water very much. Anyone what to Ride, you can meet us at 1 of 3 places. The Starbucks, the Edmonds Ferry, or the Kingston Terminal. We have not destination in mind other than miles on the road. We will be on two very darkside motorcycles. I will be in a yellow Aria Helmet and Yellow/black Jacket. Paul C will be on a yellow/black 929 with a yellow Shoie and blue/black jacket. You can call us at these numbers if you want to hook up. Cell phones Mike Levenson 206-669-3694 There will be bikes other than R1 so if you mind then.....

I got the chance to hang out with R1 Everyday, turns out we had actually met previously, but didn't realize it until we got to the shop and saw each other, because of the crazy pseudonyms we use to identify ourselves on the forum. That was cool. Looks like things are going well toward setting up a web page dedicated to coordinating Seattle riders, Darkside has set up a list server for our use, if the test goes well he or I will disseminate signup info. :rock Anyone still interested in being a part of the group shoot me an email.(Shaft3rd@yahoo.com) Sorry Darkside wish I could ride with you Sunday but it doesn't look like it will happen for me, girl friend obligations and such (in the background you hear the sound of the whip, Whappa!):crash
