Wrecked r1 Sale Price Help

I have a question for you guys… A few months ago I had a pretty bad wreck on my r1 which left it with a twisted sub frame, cracked clutch cover, etc. My question is, if I try to sell it how much do you think I could ask for it? The bike has 16,000mi on it, a new clutch, and new Pirelli Diablo back tire. Do you think i would be better trying to part it out? I’ve attached a few pics, I know you really can’t tell much from them but any assistance I can get would be of GREAT help. Thanks guy! 275343

hard to say. wrecked bikes can bring nice money if buyer is right. parting it out makes more sense but its lotta work. motor should bring $7-1300, wheels $1-300, forks and other pieces depending on if there hurt, exhaust and such. you can sell little pieces like pegs, brakes, master cylinder.. it all adds up. if you sold entire bike my guess would be it would bring $12-1800...but these are all just guesses from what i have seen bikes go for. parting it out you might end up with $2500..or maybe lots less. i would first try to sell it and see what whole thing will bring. then check around and see what pieces are good and make you a list. then check out ebay and see what they are selling for. might help you make up your mind.

To recon this situation in singapore,will at least cost 1.5k USD n cant ensure that the bike will b as good....so if i were u,i will strip the parts n sell them...for chances,im looking for a 00-01 engine.if you are interested in selling your engine,we can talk something out.PM me for more details.thanks

Dude, you ARE going to try selling your parts in Singapor, right? The freight to get them to the States, would scare off alot of buyers.

nt sell in singapore,my friend is looking for a 00-01 R1 engine to replace his....so he is a ready buyer waiting for seller....cant find any 00-01 scrap engine in singapore so try asking at this forum....im doing freight forwarding in singapore n happens to have agents based in US...so the freight will b much cheaper compare to others....so u ve any 00-01 R1 engine for sale??
