Does anyone know if the front seat for a 2002 is the same as the front seat for a 99-2001 R1? Thanks in advance for any help.

Dude, I don't know for sure but I'd almost bet my money that its not the same. Usually when a bike is changed/redone , esp, with the different tail shape the company will make small changes to the parts so that old shit won't fit on the new bike. They make more money that way.:D
