i did a search and could not find an answer to my question. okay im workin on a custom type can, i have the race baffle mod but want some type of exhaust under the bike. im losing about 4'-4" worth of pipe, in its place im installin a 1' section. i was looking at the section of he stock can i pulled when i did the race baffle mod and noticed the way it ran the exhaust, kinda like a Z pattern. in my search i noticed everyone said u have to have back pressure, with that said if i use the stock can and cut the one pipe off and weld two on would that be enough back pressure or too much?
thanks for any help in this:eek:

I don't think anyone can really answer that accurately. You're just going to have to try it and see how it works.

okay, as far as back pressure goes, i know their is no way to measure it. but what if i go down from 2" pipe to two 1.5" pipe with a 5" section of pipe with holes and packin to help with sound, notice air fllow is one better then the other? i have attached pic's i know their cheap but u get the idea i have the real one in CAD.
thank u for any help or ideas

well you can measure back pressure by the amount of power and torque your engine produces. More back pressure more torque to a point, also less back pressure more top-end power, again to a point. check out fiveoh's slash cut exhaust on his 03. That'll give you some ideas. :thumbup
