07 r1 vs 06 difference??

anyone had both the 04-06 and the 07 and can compare the two?

I've owned an '05 & '06 and have ridden a friends '07 for about 75 miles. Problem is, my R1's(filter, stacks, full AKRA Evo, PCIII and the '06 has the YEC engine kit) are heavily modded and I don't really remember a stock R1 power curve. As for a modded '04-06: it feels stronger(I am using the '05 for comparison as the YEC kit makes it too unfair of a comparison). The '07 is plenty strong as well and if modded accordingly, I'm sure would be a bit stronger. It does have a much flatter torque curve than the '04-06 models. But the difference is not what I would call amazing. You are only talking a few more hp on a bike that does weigh 12 pounds more. My biggest problem with the '07 is the looks. I prefer the '04-06. The throttle lag is there as described, but it is a minor, easily-avoided issue that will eventually be solved. I had an '06 R6 and just do not like the Ycc-t throttle. Call me old-fashioned.
