misfire

my 03 was statred today and as it idle you can hear it misfire can anyone tell me what causes this.

bad plugs maybe :dunno:

fouled plug from sitting... start bike up.. get spray bottle with water in it. spray each header tube and see if it boils right off? you will find out which cylinder is not firing.. you might be able to run it out and it clean itself out. but replacing plug will be best fix for it im sure.

Have you changed the plugs recently? I changed mine and it ran fine for about a month then started misfiring on 1 cylinder at tickover. Turned out to be a bad connection between boot and HT lead, cured by trimming 1/8" of the HT leads and reconnecting the boots. I must have yanked one of the HT leads when changing the plugs.

well i did change them and i noticed months after doing it its harder to start unless its already been started, but i was think that came from the v stacks slide stops and gutted exup with two brothers slip on.
