Somebody brought up a valid point in another thread. Since some of us live, (or bikes are stored at, :p ), in mountainous states, could we get our own squadron, i.e. MT, WY, UT, CO, and whomever else feels that they are living in the moutains. I know I drive around at 4800+ft all of the time and so do some other guys. Reply here if you fall into this category just so we can see how many would be interested.

I live in Colorado. It might just be me, but I think the "squadron" assignments are a little, mmmmmm, nerdish. Kind of like those Star Wars freaks with those "Star Fleet Acadamy" stickers on their cars. It makes me picture elementry school when kids would make air plane noises why they were swinging on the swings. But hey I can play games too, so if there is a Mountain Squadron I am down.:rock

What do you guys think we should do? Some suggestions I thought would be like a mountain lion, (clawing out, snarling...), or a grizzly. But those are the only things I can think of off the top of my head. Anyone else?

i'm from berthoud, co. count me in. what about an elk? maybe with its antlers down head to head with an r1? we could be the Rocky Mountain Riders, or the Mile High Club, or the Yamaha Mountaineers, or the Rocky Mountain Rams. i could see some mountains in the back ground with an r1 and a ram head to head. i don't know. i am not very artistic. so don't flame my ideas, i take it personally. here is a logo i did on photoshop, again, not very artistic, so be gentle on the flames. you can modify it if you want.

here's another one. what ya think. be honest, but polite.

also, i can have just about any patch made over here for cheap. like 5 ducks cheap! so lets come up with something, and i can have them made. only takes a couple days too.

IMHO, they look good, but I was thinking of something more simple, one or two colors, not a complicated drawing. Kind of like how the wolf looks for the NW. Hmmmm, if I have some time today I will try and draw something up, or at least find a picture. Thanks!!

so are we starting a mountain squadron or what? i know there are more than 3 or 4 or us. i have talked with like 10 or 12 people from colorado alone. i don't want to be part of the cali squadron. we are not even close to the coast. and colorado people are totally different than cali people. no flame intended, but its true. not to mention for anyone to get together is over a 1000 mile drive. it needs to be more local.

i just pm No_6 and told him we want our own squadron. we will see what he thinks. in the mean time lets come up with a name and squadron patch. i want to be the first squadron with a patch. i can get one made in like a week. we just need a design and name. come up with some ideas. you guys see what i am capable of, so you know i am not going to be much help. what about the Canyon Carvers? to dorky?

nice. i don't like the xterra name though. reminds me of nissan. but still a really good one. we need more though. someone has to be good at photo shop? we need a good name as well. anyone know our squadron number? R1-0112? i don't know. post some stuff. what about the Mile High Club. a different version of the phrase, but true none the least.

here is our squadron number, i just got it from no_6. R1-017 so start comming up with a name and logo. who do we want as our c/o no_6 asked if i wanted to, but i think it would be a little hard if i am overseas. what about joemt? post some ideas.

I am thinking of something like this, only with a lion head, open, jaws splayed out and paw clawing. (As you can see I am votin' for cougars or mountain lions). But up for anything as long as it isn't gay, :2bitchsla .

i like the mountain lion idea. not bad. i suck at photoshop as well. i have to use ms word to make the words, then paste them to photoshop. it took me over an hour to do what i did with this one. by the way, what do you think? what happened to everybody's ideas?

i'll mess around with it today and see what I can come up with.. Depending on how busy work is..

ok fellas, i just got back from the patch store out in town. he will custom make our patch, but we have to order at least 4 dozen. which means its going to cost around 400 bones. so what do you think? can one of you find it cheaper some where else? i am not talking about stickers, i am talking about actual patches. very nice. let me know. elk
