Ok I just installed my new slip on exhaust and am having a problem with cold starts. Here is a list of the mods I have that may be causing the problem.
1. Exhaust - Two Brothers C2 Aluminum High Mount
2. K&N Filter
3. I DO NOT have a jet kit installed yet. It's on the way.
Ok my problem is this. I installed the exhaust last night and started her up. Took a few cranks but she fired and ran fine. No apparent popping. Since it was raining at the time I turned her off for the night. This morning I come out for work and she just will not crank over. I actually drain the battery trying to start her. It's not extremely cold here. Probably about 50 degrees. It's Arizona. Now I am definitely not an expert in the technical aspects of bikes so I am kind of shooting in the dark and was hoping you guys could give me some insight on where to start. Now I just bought the bike used about 3 weeks ago and was informed that the owner had a full service including valve adjustment done about 8 months ago. Not sure about the spark plugs though.
My logical assumptions of possible problems would be.
1. Bike is now running too lean
2. Severe loss of back pressure
3. Spark plugs may be bad
Now I may be way off on these assumptions and that's why I need you guy's expertise. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

The choke would overcome any leanness so I don't think the new slip on is the reason for non starting.
Even with the filter and slip on it would only be a tiny bit leaner but still runnable.
I would give the battery a good charge and try again. If the spark plugs are wet they will be dry again by the time the battery is recharged.
Don't worry about lack of backpressure and I assume the plugs were fine beforehand.
BTW I have a slipon with stock jetting and very briefly had a K&N air filter fitted too,- It started and ran fine.

Even with the stock exhaust it would still take a few cranks to get her to fire up. I am going to check the plugs and invest in a new battery. I have been having problems with it dying a bit lately. Hopefully that will help.

Yep, hopefully that will sort it out.

Well I got her all fixed up. I stopped by a local shop on the way home from work and picked up a stock air filter and a new battery. Installed the filter and when I went to install the battery I noticed the original owner had the wrong battery installed. It didn't have enough cranking amps. Put in the new battery and she fired up instantly.
