Crunchy Box? taking off in first

Hey all, when i let the clutch out in first and take off there is a bit of a rattle, and a crunchy feeling before it feels like the gear engages?only really happens from a standstill. is this going to end in a terminal failure of the box? synchros? cheers for any advice.

It's probably clutch chatter, sounds like you need new clutches.

It's probably clutch chatter, sounds like you need new clutches. x2 Mine is just barely doing that, so I'm thinking new plates in the near future.

hmm, i adjusted the clutch freeplay on the cable? seemed to get a little better....but had a scary experience finding something like a false neutral coming into a corner...to have it go back into gear after a little crunching...then compression lockup...bit of a slide mid corner...scary.... seems to be locking up fine though?
