Micron and PC3 instalation

Hi, Over the winter I got some extra goodies for my R1, last week I bought a PC3R :owwn3d. Today I tried to install it as shown in the installation instruction I got from PC3 website and upload a map on it but my laptop cannot see the PC3R at all :(, it says it's not connected when it is! I got a RS232-USB cable, few maps from R1-forum :rock and some from PC3 website, also manuals and software. I got only PC3r so I don't have a CD with all that stuff :/ I took off the tail, seats and a fuel tank. I have a canadian R1'03 this time if it matters (my previous '03 was a US flamed one ;) ) so main 2 connectors on the left side of frame, the big ones, are black not white/clear as in US models shown in the instruction itself but everything fits OK, serial cable also fits firmly in its place. I connected also a cable on the right side of frame. So I think I installed that PC3R OK. Now what happens when I try to upload a map. First I connect it with the cable RS232-USB with my laptop. As I turn ignition on and the kill switch on, the lights on PC3 flashes, go to "lean" and dissapear.. :whtfu: Fuel reserve light flashes 8 times, probably because I disconected the 2 wires from the fuel pump so I think it's not a case, tomorrow I'll try to do all those things with the fuel tank on a bike. The thing is I don't know if I should run the bike while connecting the PC3R with the laptop and upload the map then or not.. :dunno And now I have K&N, highmount Micron and PC3R I have to fight with :machinegu Someone help me please.
