I was on my way home when my very left spark plug shot out of the cylinder head. It also stripped all the threads so i cant even put a spark plug back in there. I brought my bike to the local shop and they said it would be almost $2,000 to fix. Is it really that hard to fix?

ring a mobile thread repair person.

you can buy spark plug thread repair kits, you just need to know the size and pitch of the threads. All it is is a big heli-coil that you insert.Be careful when you do this because first you have to re-tap the head with a larger size tap(comes with the kit). When you do this, coat the new tap with grease to catch any filings that could fall in the cylinder.(the filings will stick to the grease instead of falling in the cylinder). You should also use loctite on the threads of the insert to keep it from winding back out, aswell as anti-seize on the threads of the new spark plugs so they don't seize in the cylinder head.I always use anti-seize on the threads of spark plugs, especially on aluminum heads.Your only other choice is sending the motor out to a machine shop and having them rebuild it at a cost much greater than a repair kit you can buy at your local parts store and do yourself.I hope this helps you

P.S.....This sounds alot harder than it really is.

You really don't have much to lose, may as well try the helicoil route.

Sucks, bro....but if I may ask, how'd it pop out? Do any recent work on the plugs or head?

I haven't done any work on the plugs and heads. The last plug change was around 6,000 miles ago. I went ahead and just dropped the one off at a friends shop. I don't fell like messing with this problem.

I guess i should have checked my plugs earlier. I always here of plugs vibrating loose and shooting out. I just didn't think it would happen with that many miles on the plugs or plug. But the funny thing is the other plugs where still nice and snug. I just wonder if the place that changed my plugs last just didn't tighten that one up enough.
