South Central USA: R1-015 'Ghostrider' TX, Tenn, Missouri, AB, LA, AK C/O: tbd X/O: tbd Godfather, DnD, R1_4Life, ChampR1-Guy, ZRider, velocityboy, R1Fanatic, phoch What other states should be in your riding area? I'm in if we can gain some interest. That logo looks AWSOME! I really want to make this work guys so please speak up. I'll volunteer as a temp C/O to at least try and get people organized. Squadron name should be singular, just as in any proper name, because it will be used as part of "Squadron," i.e. "Ghostrider Squadron." Also, after talking to ScorpionR1 last night, you may want to reconsider your name, and choose something that would be more representative of the south, without sounding like a gang. I'll help come up with a new logo.

Good point about the name not being plural, but what's wrong with Ghostrider? There really aren't alot of Southern references/phrases that would make a good name. I'm up for suggestions, but am still leaning toward Ghostrider Squadron.

I thought I'd be in the midwest but I guess I'm south central... glad you liked the Akra can Superfly (by the way) "Squad" what a funny word... don't shoot yer squad... my underwear was "squaded" up in the corner... What were we talking about? Oh yeah I'm St. Louis so I guess I'm in this one... I emailed Swedie to ask his permission to offer T-Shirts on here also and he never responded. I don't see what difference it makes but if he says no then it's no. If not then let me do our T-Shirts... $20 shipped and they will be top quality Hanes Beefy-T's or another flattering shirt with a kick ass design or incorporate the ones we have here... I've got you two added, but be sure I get your personal info for the member list. It's good to see our numbers finally growing. I do have a friend that cuts vinyl, but I'm all for going with the best and/or cheapest. I agree on the current logo staying as the one we use. Any objections to that?

Ok, I just got home from work. I got your PMs so I will be adding your info to the list soon. I'm going home for Thanksgiving so I will talk to my friend with the vinyl while I'm there. We can compare quotes and decide who to go with at a later date. There is a place here in Fayetteville that I think can do some patches, but I will have to call to make sure. I'll let you all know something as soon as I find out.

Hey Guys I'm in......Been out of town for the last 3 weeks on business....Holy crap I missed a lot of stuff. Perhaps I'm late but heres my opinion, Logo is awesome, Ghostriders or Ghostrider sounds good to me. As far as the comment about the logo being related to region...not sure about that. There are many of us that moved here from other regions or from overseas. Man have I been busy! We have some ice here today, so busines is slow...figured I'd stop by and see how R1-115 was doing. Not a whole lot of action around here :) Has anyone found out anything about sticker prices? I haven't gotten a price yet, but I'm emailing the logo to my buddy tonight so that he can look over it. I think I'll try and call about patches today too seeing as how I have enough time ;)

This is coming along real nicely. But before this gets too far along, I have a few comments. 1) The state AK is Alaska, not Arkansas (AR). 2) Oklahoma should be in this squad 3) Does the logo look somewhat KKKish? It is still alive and active. (I travel alot in the strong Klan areas while working) When riding in Arkansas, this could bring lots of negative attention to a group just out having fun. Someone may think it's a new breed of the Klan. Maybe something a little less pointed on top. This is just my opinion and was wondering if it mirrors any of yours.

this is what i have to say about the kkk :finger :butt :machinegu as far as the logo, i love it and think it should stay just the way it is. i dont see where it resembles the kkk, but thats my $.02

I didn't even notice the AK abreviation...oh well, we all knew what he meant. I really don't think that a few sport bikes are going to be looked at as being associated with the Klan. Hell the KKK is a f'ing joke to the majority of AR, and we've got the grand pooba (grand master, dragon master, dungeon master, grand jackass, or what ever the hell he's called) living here. My vote is to go with what WE like, and not worry about Joe Blow, and what he thinks. If he asks it will only give us the chance to explain it and show that all riders are not "bikers." OK is in the R1-115, it's just not listed here....or am I wrong, and it has been placed in another squad? That reminds me, what states are officially in R1-115?

I must be mistaken. I thought this was to be for ALL members to agree on not just a few who name themselves as WE and climb aboard just because the other guy did. I think the logo needs some work. I'm not here to start a fight, just to say I don't like the logo, totally. My first thought was it looked like a monkey with a dunce cap on. When I think of Ghost Rider, I think of the guy in this picture.

Sorry, didn't mean to come across as not wanting to make any changes. I do feel that everyone should be able to agree on the logo, but right now it's the only one we have. You are right about the Ghost Rider thing though. The comic is what I think of first as well. Don't forget that it is copy writed though. We can't let it look too much like him b/c if the wrong person saw it we coiuld get in some serious legal trouble. Please feel free to make changes and submit thme. I would, but I don't have any good graphix software. I did talk to a friend of mine that is a graphic designer, and he agreed to take a look at it and see what he could come up with. I'll try and get ahold of him later tonight.

If I could draw, I would. No software either. Perhaps someone can do some editing?

You guys have any idea of who you want as C/O? Would that be you Godfather? Sounds like you've already been doing some good work.

I was still just working under the temp premise, but if we have enough people to put it to a vote we can. If anyone else is interested in the position feel free to speek up. If not, I will continue as is. I don't know if you guys have checked out what the SE squad has done as far as the website, but I think that's a great idea. I will see if I can get something put together for SC 115 if you are all interested.

I think the logo looks good, you can tell it's a m\c helmet not just a hat. I wouldn't have a problem if godfather is the c/o.

I would like to suggest that the majority agree on a squad name (which it sounds like we have) then from that name get some feedback on potential logo's thanks chris

Ghostriders sounds good to me. :) The logo looks a little chopped by the diamond. I think it's almost a keeper, just needs a little tweeking.

I'm still waiting to hear back from my friend that is the graphic design artist....or what ever. Anyway, I'll post that logo as soon as I get it. I still vote for Ghostrider as the name.

I vote for ghostrider also. How about make the face, under the helmet, on the logo a skeleton. Just a thought.

Welcome Adam I live in Fayetteville, AR....just a short distance from you. My friends and I usualy hit up mokan dragway for the import nights. Most of us have turbo DSMs (talons, eclipses, lasers) that we race there. Maby I'll see you out there sometime.

Godfather, If you find yourself in Joplin and on Rangeline, stop in at Golf USA that is where I work. When the weather gets nice there a several guys that get together to ride on Sundays. If I hear anything I will let you know.

Welcome :hellobye Well, it's getting closer and closer to warm weather and open tracks. Do you guys want to try and plan something soon? Hopefully we can find someone to do some logos and patches for us by then, and we can use the meet as an unveiling or something. Let me know what you think.

I can't get my design buddy away from his paying work long enough to try something for us. I say we just go with what we already have. I will start making calls locally to get prices for patches. Well it's a no-go on patches from any local venders around my area. You guys have any better luck? I'm going to start searching the web when business slows down today.

Give ScorpionR1 (V) a PM. He's got a lead on someone in NY with a shop in Asia that may be able to get a good deal. The best I could find in the Seattle area would cost about $18 each for an order of 20 or more.

Thanks for the heads up 6. I'll drop him a line about that. I found a site that can do them for just under $5 each, but you have to order at least 50 to start.

That sounds like a good idea for the all-squadron patches. Been too busy to do a revised design, but I promise one will be coming.

I was thinking that if each member would agree to buy 2 at actual cost, I would eat the rest. That way only about 2 or 3 patches would not be claimed from the start. Even if some people only get one patch it would leave enough extras for new members without haveing to reorder.

I'm going to try and get something going on these patches first. I'll post a new thread with a poll to make sure everyone is willing to step up and get a patch or two. Everyone be thinking about a few citys that you would be willing to travel to. I know that not everyone want's to make a 6hr road trip to meet me :crash Once we have some citys picked out we can weed them down to the one we want to grace with our presence. ummmmm....sooooo...how do I post a poll exactly?
