List of events at the 2007 Convention

I wanted to get a list going of some of the things that are going on at this year's R1/R6 Forum Convention other than the normal riding. I will continually update it as things become certain. As of now this is what we have. If you have something you want me to add let me know and I will add it.:thumbup Monday: -6:30 pm dinner on shuckstack road Tuesday: -Dirtbiking on the ORV trails, either Ron Taylor ORV or Upper Tellico ORV, leave at 9:30 sharp -6:30 pm dinner on shuckstack road -8:00 sharp, poker night at CrazyTex's Cabin. $20 buy in. Wednesday: 10:00 a.m. Kickstands up at the Crossroads of Time to leave for Knoxville Sushi Run! -6:30 pm dinner on shuckstack road and Crawfish BOIL!!! Thursday: -Dirtbiking on the motocross (MountainMX) track, leave at 9:30 sharp. -6:30 pm dinner on shuckstack road -immediately after dinner we head over to the 2 houseboats on Fontana Lake for desserts and Party!! Friday: -6:30 pm dinner on shuckstack road -R1/R6 Forum Bike show Saturday: 11:30-12:30 Lunch at Crossroads 1:00-Kickstands up for the Annual Convention Ride across the Dragon to the Overlook. (On the return trip across will will ride to the Base of Fontana Dam for a HUGE Group Picture, approx. 2:30ish) 6:30 pm dinner -immediately following dinner will be prize giveaway for Forum members! Also in the works is a Sushi run either Tuesday or Wednesday, and a white water rafting trip either Wednesday or Friday. Will post up when I know for sure on those.

I thought it went ok last year. but this year is totally different. we don't have to get the food or set it up, Fontana is doing it all this year. and the dinners will be more complete this year with salads etc. and desserts, with drinks and plenty of side items. When I go to the Appalacheins to ride, I usually camp in N GA at TWO or Skeenah Creek and like to do a 300 - 350 loop at least one day. That loop takes me right by Fontana so I was thinkin',,,,,,, :confused: Tue or Fri, leave outa Fontana around 8am and do the loop. Anybody wanna go? I'd be happy to lead the ride at a pretty quick pace,,,, not 100% mind you but strafin' the corners and takin' it easy in the straights, not scarin' ole grannys and stuff like that. The route: Go right out of Fontana on NC28 down to Franklin, NC NC28 from Franklin, NC down to Warwoman Rd in GA Right on Warwoman Rd to Clayton, GA US76w out of Clayton, GA to Blairsville, GA US129s out of Blairsville, GA to GA180 (Wolf Pen Gap Rd) GA180 across to Suches, GA where TWO might have lunch goin' if we hoof it. There we'll make a decision as a group to do "The Cooler Run". About 45 mins extra ridin'. The Cooler Run will end us up right back in Suches, Ga From Suches, go North on GA 60 to McCaysville, GA where the road turns into TN68 in Coppertown, Tn. TN68 to Tellico Plains, TN where we pick up the Cherohala Skyway across to Joyce Kilmer National Forest and take a pig trail over to US129n which will dump up us out at Crossroads of Time at the bottom of Deal's Gap. This is a great loop to ride but it'll make ya tired. Quick rider's meeting before kickstands up at 0800. We'll stop for photo ops, couple of gas breaks and lunch. This will be a 10 hour day considering potty breaks, lunch and stuff. Anybody interested? :rock

In a small prison called the Post Office....working my azz off. I was planning on going. I have wed thru sun off. I have to do the check ride for my flight training. If I don't do it on thur, I will have to wait for another 2 weeks. So, I'm not sure...

In a small prison called the Post Office....working my azz off. I was planning on going. I have wed thru sun off. I have to do the check ride for my flight training.
