How to flush coolant on 2000 R1???

I really need help flushing out the coolant on my buddy's 2000 R1... How do you do this?

Remove lower, loosen hose clamp on water pump, pull hose off water pump and let her drain. Resevoir can be accessed on the opposite side. Just remove cap and top bolt and turn upside down. Are you replacing with anti-freeze or track approved stuff (water wetter, engine ice)? Regardless, just be sure to use distilled water. Do not use tap water. Hope this helps

Is there no drain plug on the 98-01's??

Good call. I forgot about the plug. Either way it's a 5 minute job.

The drain plug is there. Ive done it both ways, its just faster disconnecting the hose.

theres 2 drain plugs on the 98. Make sure you get both
