So I got a set of braided lines, swapping them out doesn't appear to be a problem except for one thing. All of the routing guides and brackets are larger than the lines. So do I just run them through?

Thats what I did, but I peeled off all the grommets off my original lines and put them on the new ones. The new lines are thinner but the original brackets hold the grommets in place.:thumbup Headlight 03-18-2007, 04:29 PM Thats what I did, peeled off all the grommets off my original lines and put them on the new ones. That's exactly what I was thinking I would do, thanks. William YZF-R1 03-18-2007, 04:32 PM Thanks, worked for me for three years and counting. zkattered 03-18-2007, 06:03 PM yep, peeled my grommets too. worked just fine. ArizonaThumper 03-19-2007, 10:50 AM Along with reusing the old rubber grommets, I used some anti chaffing electrial tape around the lines where the grommets are so the lines will be held tight by the grommet instead of sliding back and forth. PyRo1509 03-19-2007, 10:11 PM im using stock... bikes been like that for many years.. the electrical tape couldnt hurt | |
