:dunno  I need help in solving a problem that occured. I was out riding and in the midst of pulling into a parking spot, she went kuchunk, kuchunk, rattle, rattle. All of this sound was coming from underneath me and I can't figure out what it is. When I go to try and start it, it wont but if I put it in gear it will at least sound like it wants to turn over but not start. Please somebody help me with this.... 2001 YZF-R1:whtfu:

Mine did the same thing after a long ride and stopped a few days after I bought it. I ended up having to trailer it home and then tore it apart and found that the four carbs were not seated all the way on the spacers to the motor. Not a good thing. While I was in there i replaced the spark plugs and checked to make sure everything else was on correctly. So I would start there.

to add to what was already said more info is needed, at this point i would tell you your engine is toast without knowing more

An engine needs air, fuel, and spark to run. If it won't start, then one of these isn't being delivered (be it mechanical or otherwise). Your discription is too brief for anyone to accurately diagnose this via a discussion forum, so I suggest you either start confirming you have all of the above and then work from there, or get someone who knows bikes to take a look.

Hey everybody. Just wanted to thank you all for your input. It was a big help. I got it looked at and found out that for some odd reason my clutch decided to take a double whammy big ole nasty dump on me. Got a new one put in and this thing runs like it should again. thanks again for your help on where to start.....
