I purchased a 2001 r1 about 8 months ago and it was running perfectly up until a few weeks ago , ok this is what happened, I just brought it to the mechanic for a tune up, change oil, clean carbs etc then it was running fine but after a few days going home from work I noticed that it sounded funny, like it was out of sych especially low and high rpm, so i thought i blew a spark plug, so I checked it and found out that my rightmost sparkplug is b urning black and theres like oil on it, so i changed the sparkplug but the first time i used my bike it would backfire then would sound funny again, then removed it and again it was still burning black and it only happens to my rightmost spark plug do you think i just need my carbs syched cause it giving too much gas or what?
