where do i get 1 and how hard is it 2 install

You're looking for the Acumen DG8. To my knowledge they are the only makers of a standalone unit like this. It's pretty expensive though. They come in two types, one is permanently wired into the bike, one is plug and play for a little more money. http://www.riderstation.com/DG8.php Here's a quick link, but I would recommend looking through the ads in some moto mags on the rack, I think you can find them cheaper.

Just installed my Acuman. Took about 1 hour or so to get everything working. Pretty simple. The worst part was running the wires from the spedo to under the tank. Cut my fingers on some stuff. There was probably an easier way but oh well...its on.

Mine is not programming so I checked the wiring.....the orange wire (Speedo) is supposed to go with white/yellow wire on the back of the instrument cluster. The problem is there is no white/yellow wire there. So where does the orange wire go?

I have the acumen with the harness and the install is simple but the indicator realy dosent work any time you have the cluch pulled in. I paid about 160 shiped. 20 min install. make shure you do not cover the hole in the back you will need acsess to it to program it.
