Wow, I love these friggin bikes...Most fun I've ever had on a motorcycle. Practiced all day Saturday and had a best time of 30.12 at Elgin, SC kart track. Sunday morning I had some stickers mounted up because after Saturday the rear tire wasnt hooking up for nothing coming out of the corners though it was fun powersliding that thing. Went out for first practice session and turned a 29.42 being the fastest of the session by 2 tenths. I only did about 10 laps cause i wanted to just scrub in the new tires. Second session I only ran about 2 clean laps and my laptimer showed a 29.12 so I pitted in thinking that should be the pole, WRONG, Lane busted out a 28.94 on his last lap of the session which bumped me to second. On the start of the race I lost a couple spots and I was hanging in 4th, just wanted to keep it upright and make it until the end of the 20 laps and charge hard. Had a rider go down in front of me which I had to go off track to avoid but stayed up. It ended up being a red flag because they couldnt get the bike off the track by the time we came around again. So i was gridded in 5th for the restart and was lucky enough to be behind the dirtiest riding SOB out there. I got pushed off track by this guy probably 3 times, once on the last lap being obviously intentional, handlebar to handlebar, but I'll take it as good experience and a lesson learned, so had a bike good enough for 2nd. My lap times were def consistent and podium-like, but I need some more racing seat time. All in all good weekend with www.SEMRA.org (http://www.SEMRA.org), great organization run by racers only, thanks to them. Should have some pics within a few days.
