'07 Clutch question

Before everyone is wondering why I haven't ridden my '07 yet, let me explain...I broke my arm and wrist a few days before I purchased my new bike. The deal was already set so I had to take it home in a truck. I get the cast off on Thursday and I'll be taking the bike out for the first time. I've only started it once since I've had it but never put it into gear. Onto the question... Keep in mind the bike wasn't running while doing this...I was installing my sato rearsets and while I was making adjustments to the shift rod to get a comfortable position, I shifted the bike into first. I pulled the clutch in and went to push the bike forward a little to help shift back up to neutral and the bike won't roll at all. I managed to shift it into second and tried it again...Clutch pulled in and the bike doesn't roll. It feels the same as when you try to push a bike that is shut off but in gear while the clutch is engaged...Doesn't go anywhere. So is this normal? I've never had a slipper type clutch on any of my bikes, so maybe that's it? Or maybe since the engine isn't broken in, it's just really tight? It's not a big deal to me (as long as it's functioning normally) since I'll be riding it rather than pushing it around. I just thought it was strange.

I think that once you get some oil in between the clutch plates everything will be fine. You just need to ride it.
