exhaust system

Hi all, can a 1999, 2000 0r 2001 full stock exhaust system (prefferably) with exup valve go on my 1998 without any hassles. THanx

run a search, this has been discussed.

I too would like to know if an 01 exhzust will fit a 98 R1? Ive been searching, but cant seem to find the answer. Thanks fellas

I was hoping the answer would be a yes, coz i just bought an 01' hi level exhaust of ebay. Thanks for the answer :rock I just fitted an 2001 5JJ exhaust system on a 4XV. As far the stock exhaust goes they are the same, I have both of them. Not sure for the high level as the 5JJ has different subframe angle (and shorter subframe) so you may find some probs on mounting the silencer. In general I would say it should fit ealisy. Anyway std exhaust systems (not high level) would fit straight on from 98 to 01 models. Regards,

As long as i can get the link pipe slotted in to the exup valve, then i'll make a bracket to support the silencer. All I was worried about was the angle and diameter fitment of the link pipe.

reason why i started this thread is my full akra system had a leak where it becomes 4 into two, jumped of a kerb...dont ask.... i'm now rather gonna get it welded up. its titanium and thats apprently a dif***ult thing to weld correct. will keep u posted.
