Yep seen that. We around here have been working on this type of thing for a couple of years now. The police have not helped, a few of the other locations were shut down forcing people such as Tim & Richard (P.O.B.) to come up with bigger and better ideas. We also have other groups working on new places. We hope that even if in a small way things like this will help the sportbike image.

So you guys set this up yourselves? I'd be interested in knowing how you did it, who you had to convince and just in general how to get it done. If it was just a bunch of guys who like to ride that set it up, it makes me think we can do it around where I live.

The group that set this up is Point of balance they do some stunt shows at the track so they already had a few connections there, so they have worked a deal to rent the track every Sunday. Another group Sportbikehype is working on a much larger scale to get a bigger area. And yes it does involve talking to the local authorities. Something just had to be done here with the amount of bikes and cops , it was getting bad for everyone. But first is to find a spot, check on local laws such as noise levels and insurance laws and such. The key is communication make it known that you are trying to get it off the street this helps get some of the law inforcement and public citizens attention. And with all the "zero tolarence" by the law around here these spots will help some.
