Hello to all you R1 riders out there. I have a problem. I had zxr750 now I bought a girl of my dreams although it was wrecked my good buddy is a mechanic so we kinda fixed her up. I was trying to perform some wheelies on my previous bike zxr but that piece of shit doesn"t have enough power to lift it without clutch or bounce method IT JUST DIDN"T WANT TO FLY but now on R1 she"s a NASTY GIRL flying all over the place. I just can"t keep her come.Let me remind you I"m only 19 now but i love adrenalin. So guys your help would be as much as like to let me alive for some time more. I did about 1000km on zxr and 600km on R1 now on TWO WHEELS of course! Please help the begginer do some sit ups!!!!

Welcome to the forum. You won't need anything but a roll on the right grip to bring the front end up in first, probably second too if you're not too heavy. keep your foot over the rear brake in case you bring it up too high, and dont do it near other vehicles or on public roads.

A thousand clicks is **** all man, you're going to get flamed like crazy for trying to stunt on this bike with no riding experience. Read any of the other threads to find out what happend to experienced riders who DID know what they were doing. Go get a dirt bike and practice on that. its easier to learn to ride a wheelie on a bike with less power because you have a little bit more forgiving throttle and geometry angles. On a dirt bike you can bring it up, start to tip over, and set it down with a pretty good chance of saving it, at about 20% of the speed you'd be doing on your R1. and you'd never save it on the R1. You WILL be sliding down the road on your ear if you aren't careful. Go out and find some guys to ride with that aren't going to push you past your limits , they'll be more help than anything else.
good luck

Thanks !!! r1matty
I can perform a wheelie on a scooter. My father has a gilera runner FXR180. The problem is i don"get scared. If i just roll on the grip she does come up but to fast and then i just can"t keep her steady, she"s just bouncing up an down. My weight is 97kg but I am not fat I am kinda sports type boy. Let me inform here are no local stunt drivers if you know what I mean. The best thing that someone did here was a burnout!

I had 3 previous ZX7R's and could wheelie them way better than the R1, for some reason they didn't get speed wobble.

The reason you're bouncing around so much has to do with both a lack of experience of throttle control and finding the balance point. once you find the balance point you will need to constantly keep making minute adjustments on the throttle to hold it . The reason a less powerful bike bounces less = less power, makes an abrupt throttle movement seem more smooth. i am not familiar with the zxr but chances are, there are riders that sould wheelie it . I've seen pics of those big FLHTCUI harleys (or whatever they're called) doing big wheelies, and other huge bikes. I'm not saying that I could, but some guys can. The throttle is easier to make small adjustments in a higher gear, 2 or 3 maybe, but you have to get there first.
Check out the videos Swedie posted on the vid page. you can hear his shift points, check out his balance point, etc.

I wonder if there is a way to learn the feel of balance point or you just have to wheelie so high to teach it ??? Can any human wheelie?

Yeah that would be nice but I hardly save enough money to buy 98 R1, in our country the bikes are much more expensive than in US.I gave for my R1 which was crashed 1000.000 SIT that"s
4000$. And belive for that money you can buy a lot look a like motorcycle thing in your state.
