SouthEastern Venom Squadron Logo

Ok, it has been a busy week for me so far but I wanted to get some stuff for everyone to check out.. I think we should keep the logo for our squadron in a circle or oval pattern that way we can have custom stickers cut out without paying bigtime fees for them. But anyways lets get the logo finalized and role with it after that.... Post up your Spider-logo submissions for review and commenting. If we need to vote on it we can but it might not come to that .. Attached is the Spider logo that we have so far and a variation of it. I will need for the final version to maintain an oval or circular shape so our stickers will be unreal.....(custom cut stickers are unreal expensive to have a cutter made, the company I use has alot of oval and circle shapes as standard is the reason to keep it those shapes)! The stickers will be custom full color and we can get a couple color versions done no problem. But again that is down the road, let's just finish this logo off, give me a couple weeks to get all our info up on my site for everyone to see and use. Then worry about the other stuff... There will be plenty of options for everyone though, I can even make up a few sig pictures and avatars for us to use...! I liked the second one, I don't particularly care between the two. I like the more colorful one, but I don't know about the pink, maybe make it silver instead of pink?

Definitely the third logo. Any one think the spider should be flipped so it is facing up??

The 3rd would be my choice. That logo incorporates 5 colors, red, black, pink, white, and blue. Each additional color costs more correct? Could you do a prototype with: black in same spots, silver where white is currently, blue replacing the pink, and the eyes of the spider in red. That would reduce the colors to 4 and represent the 3 primary colors of the 02 R1 (red,silver,blue) Just a thought. Everyone is really coming together. This is promising!

actually our stickers can be true full color/press process so what ever we can dream up is fine.... The logos posted are just examples... most everyone seems fine with it so I will probably just role with it and bring my laptop with me to the INLAWS :mad: house for turkey day and but out some samples......

i'm with yamarob , like i said in another post reverse the logo , maybe flip the spider around so you could get the tuning fork's pointing up :hellobye

as for color's , why don't we just get single color's and each one just get there color (silver r-1 = silver) (red=red) (blue=blue) or if it's custom , maybe i'm just talking out my ass ??? :hellobye

i'm working a logo, when i get it together i will post it. it'll be someting similar to the one i posted a couple weeks ago, but more simple for a sticker. i don't think the yamaha logo should be on it. what if someone buys another type of bike? will their membership be canceled? plus, i think it's a little bit overkill, the R1 in the squadron designation lets you know that it's a yamaha thing. this is what i posted a while back. let me know if i'm heading in the right direction or if i need to give it up.

Here is what I have been working on the past few days... I actually had to re-do the spider and all because I wasn't thinking graphically and needed it saved a different way (so it would transfer to stickers and such alot easier and look good)...... This image gets my vote..... natas: I don't dis-like that spider it's just that I can't picture a custom leather shop like Syed or anyone for that matter cutting that pattern out without charging an arm and a leg......

i totally understand that. it's way too intricate for what we're doing, i'm reworking it. i'll try to get something up by the weekend. what about someone owning a different kind of motorcycle? there are some bikes out there, that if i get the chance, i would love to have, but i would hate to have to leave a club because i didn't own the same kinda bike that i owned when i got in it. damn, that was a long sentence....lol.

I understand the other bike things so I took off the tuning forks, unless everyone begs for them back..... The R1-forum.com is gonna have to stay on the stickers though, there is no problem with any other bikes and I am sure that everyone else is cool with that... For our jackets I was thinking about the spider in my last post with R1-016 cut out of it...

Come on guys...this is an R1 group, the tuning forks need to be included to identify the Yammy. If you get rid of your bike the patch still says R1 so go figure. We will still let you play with us...even if you don't have the smarts to ride a great bike! I really like it on the back of the spider..identifies the black widow and Yamaha group...all in one smooth move. The BPO has spoken.

I think it was perfect as is (dunno about the pink tho)... This is the problem with a commitee. Really, the emblem is fine. Let's move on...

All the effects don't transfer over when you shrink it.. Thanks for the matrix effect Quasi... you'll see it in the big version and in says venom over and over....! Anyways this color scheme satisfies all the food groups... Blue, Silver and Red... can't get any better than that..>!

Go with it !!! (only a suggestion - add a tuning fork or the word yamaha somewhere...)... But ya know - it's damn fine the way it is...

I also think the tuning forks should be somewhere as this is a R1 squadron. If someone ends up getting a different bike then maybe their emblem could do away with the tuning forks. As far as the forks, maybe they could be branded on the spider or maybe subdued in the background the spider is on. Just my .02

That last example :rock :rock It definitely needs the tuning forks on it. Even though my bike is blue, I think that the forks should be the same red as the eyes of the beast. Keeps it all tied together. Good Work!!! P.S. I will not be too sad if the forks are subdued underneath the spider.

I think we should keep it simple and black with the fork logo on the belly. All black would satisfy everyone's color or R1, that way you don't have a blue sticker on a red bike, etc. etc. I added some blood on the arms and the eyes....... Whatcha think ???

For everyone that wants something black or a solid color. There is probably a sticker shop that would produce a peel and stick style sticker for us that way...

well it's that big because of the print press size........ a 6 x 6 inch graphic is about 2900 x 2900 pixels. It's hard to explain but with it being that large you can see the scan lines and the "R" 's in the background of the spider...... those are just some added features the full version stickies will have...!

what ever the logo looks like in the end, i would like to be able to have a simple black version for my bike. i'm trying to keep the colors to a minimum. i have a liquid silver 02.

check a bunch of posts up..I posted about black or one color pictures, if there is a demand for black ones we can make them no problem probably would just need a shop to makes some up...! I will most likely just put a sticker on my truck and have the Spider with R1-016 cut out of the body on the sleeve of my jacket..... anyways..... :yesnod

Truly a spider is black not blue but I think the artwork is awsome If we just tweek the colors a bit - I'm thinking the word VENOM should be black, the spider should be black and then the other background stuff we can tweek with blue, red and silver to represent all of the r1's. I do like the whitish stuff in the lettering.

my point is , if you put it on a smoked shield it's not going to come out

Why would put a sticker on your shield anyway? We are tossing around patches for leathers or jackets, etc. You can put a sticker somewhere else....No flame intended!

I don't have a problem doing up 3 different color sets.. 1. Blue 2. Black/Silver 3. Red The thing is that everyone wants to have t-shirts and stickers... I am going to get a leather shop to have a pattern for the jacket logos so each member will be responsible for ordering those (prolly should make that a member rule to keep everyone in compliance..lol)... So in reality with each membership dues your gonna get A t-shirt and 3 stickers. The leather for the jackets insignia will be available to order each on there own.. If we do it that way everyone should be satisfied...

ok - that sounds great, but what about the leftover monies for other forum dues....Where will that money go. We should have some sort of standard/trips, etc. Thoughts?

I started on the events section of the mini site so check it out.... Now whos gotta t-shirt Hook up so I can get us some done..!

Shane.. I called the Hotel that is listed on our mini site. They have a 7 day minimum during that period, no trailer parking on site and only one car allowed per room. We need to get a Squadron member from that area appointed as the lodging chairman for the event. If someone could spend a little time checking out hotels maybe they could find something off the beach that is more flexible. How about it guys...anybody close?

There is a few others that have other hotel options but haven't sent me the info yet... I have stayed at that hotel for 3 years and have always been told 5 night minimum during bike week but that is just about standard with all the hotels unless you just try to show up and get something. We have about 7 or 8 rooms reserved right now and they all are 5 nights.. We brought our trailer last year but had 2 rooms and used one of our parking spaces for the trailor..... Anyways with bike week being so big another hotel option would be good. Let me know if anyone gets the info and I will post it up...
