Noisy Fan

It seems to me that the fan on my '07 is really loud compared to my '00 as well as to my friends liter bikes. Is it just my bike or are you guys noticing this as well? It also seems to take a while to cool off (high temps while riding) so I will be trying out water wetter unless you guys have other suggestions. Thanks!

Yeah, the fan is definitely loud. This is my first R1 so I can't compare it to anything. It might have to do with how radiator venting is now. Leaning a little to one side or the other, you can look through the venting and see the fans directly. There is nothing between a rider's ears and the fans! To me, this is pretty minor but I do notice it.

'07 has 2 fans, twice the noise!

If it has twice the fan why does it over heat so much?

Mine is pretty loud but it does not bother me at all.
