theft recovery in need of new main switch... help with wiring please

So I got the bike from the impound lot the battery still had juice seemed like the wires where ripped out of the main switch and the steering lock was broke...Also the wires where all spun together and hot to touch.. what could be ruined? Any electrical circuits that could be fryed? Where can I get another main switch with key and where do the 4 wires plug into? Thanks

okay so I bought a main switch steering part number 8 on the yamaha diagram... anybody know if that plugs into the harness or does the harness plug into the switch??

The ignition switch should have a plug on the end which plugs in to the main harness
