Hey Guys,
How do I take off the stock fender? Do I have to cut the wires? I unplugged the black and gray "things" (which I assume are the turn signal wires) but there is some blueish thing with plastic around it that I can't seem to unplug.
So...what do I do with the wires?

Pics would help but it sounds like the connections to the plate light.
If that's it there should be two connectors that just pull apart.
I think they disconnect under the passenger seat.

The blueish wire in the picture...what do I do with them? So I just cut the wires?
Also, eventually in the near future I'm need to splice some wires into them anyway for the fender eliminator kit I bought. Maybe it would just be best to cut them...I dunno.

That blue wire just pulls apart. There is NO cutting required to take off the fender and unplug the wires. ALL of the wires separate! Just grab either side of that connector with two hands and pull! It should separate right inside of it, may just have to override your gentle tendencies.

yea, I never like to pull on a wire itself. I'd rather pull on the case or something. But I'll go out and give it a shot now.

SWEET! She looks tons better now.
The final thing I have to do it dill a hole up through the colwing where the passenger pegs are. Do I need to do anything special to avoid having the colwing crack or anything...i dunno.

I bought this off ebay: http://209.61.143.180/product_p/y07r1ss.htm
I comes with turn signals and a light for the license. Because it sits so far back, the direction say to drill a hole 1/8 inch so you can run the wires up into under the passenger seat and splice them into the stock wires.
Make sense?
EDIT: I actually went ahead and drilled a hole in the metal. Not problems. Now just got to splice the wires.

How did that fender eliminator work out? Have you taking any pics of it after installing?

Thanks for the pics. Did you find the turn signals to be noticeable at night?
