Akapovic Slip-on Install Question

The Akrapovic muffler hangers install with an spacer to push them outboard 1/2"... do we install the muffler hanger cover back over the muffler bolts? It "kind of" fits but makes the tail fairing fit kind of weird... ? What do y'all think? Also.. those two damn push pins were at the front of the tail fairing were almost impossible to remove. I got one of them out, destroyed the other. How do you get them out? Should I get new ones or run w/o them now? Thanks, Andi
