I have a 98 R1 with full exhaust(on the bike when bought), I have read about the exup servo, with the butterfly in the header. I was curious what goes into installing the full exhaust. I understand the concept about low rpm backpressure and fattening the midrange, I just want to make sure the exhaust system is installed correctly. 1. What happens to the servo? 2. If its installed incorrectly would I be able to tell? Just a crash course might help:dundun:

When you install a full exhaust system the exup will not be used. You will have to, either leave the servo motor plugged in and just remove the cables or remove it all and get a magic box which plugs into where the servo should be...otherwise you will have your tacho bouncing around telling you the servo isnt working

yep. 5lbs of dead weight or about $100 for the box. Your choice
