Since everyone has a different wake up, get stirrin', ride out time,,,,,, ~Wednesday June 13 ~0930am meet at the bottom of The Dragon at CoT ~1000am, kickstands up. If you're a straggler, we'll have a map to the place posted here. ~2 - 4 hour ride to Knoxville. Bogie and I will come up with the route between now and then. It won't be a straight shot, I promise. :rock ~Have a late lunch at a sushi bar. Figure on 1 - 2 hours. ~I have 1 thing I want to do in Knoxville if time permits so everyone is on their own in getting back to Fontana. Ok guys, I was able to find a couple places. The place that was recommended to me is called "Nama". It is in downtown knoxville, and is supposedly a pretty unique place. Definitely looks good. The other one is a little bit closer (between Knoxville and Maryville) and is called "wasabi". It looks like they have quite a selection of good stuff also. Nama is a little bit more expensive, but not by much... At the rate I eat, it would most likely be about $7-10 more per meal. Both look really good. Whichever place you guys want to go is just fine with me... I don't know if going downtown would be a pain or not, but I don't care either way. I'm getting hungry already! I can see a few rounds of wasabi competition going on :lol

I was looking at James' (Southern) whitewater thread, and he's considering either Wednesday or Friday. I didn't see it in the "events" thread, so overlooked that on my initial post. Being that I only have an MX bike, making the MX/trail events are my priority. But, if the concensus is to leave it on Tuesday, that's fine as well. I'll have my street gear with me, but I really don't plan on riding street as I don't have a street bike anymore. Thus, this trip most likely will be a cage drive for me.

For either Wasabi, we can go 129/72 and cross over 411 and backroad it around the west side of the airport and miss all the Maryville/Alcoa traffic and traffic lights on the 4 lane. After all my trash talk about living so close to the Gap, I have to admit I'm jealous that I have to work half the week & can't come up to join everyone again until Wednesday. If you haven't decided, my local friends who are really into the stuff say Tai is the best in Knoxville, but the best in the area is actually a place in Maryville. As soon as I can track down the name, I'll be happy to share it, if you're still undecided.
