Any of you chaps in the southeast of england want to form our own squadron...would be a good laugh, eh? Anyway, atleast we could all meet up for rides and beer! I've asked for the Grim Reapers for ours, hopefully one of the resident cad experts can kindly mock up an insignia for us! (I'm crap at stuff like that!) Anyway, lets give it a go, don't be boring!!!:2bitchsla :(

Lord Melch is in the 441. You may want to try PM him. I encourage you to recruit your riding buddys, have them join the forum and your squadron. I know there must be a lot more than TWO R1 riders in southern England.

Satan, Ally Pally sounds good. Count me in. Mind you got a court apperance mid Dec.. so whether I'll have a licence or not is debatable - but unlikely . :( We shall see. 1998 R1 with R7 fairing, QB ram-air, MIG High mount, Haga paint job in Blue. Sounds very nice have you seen the attached photo... Doing a Brands Indy on 13th Dec for £50 with Focused Events (http://www.focusedevents.com) if you fancy that.. :beer

Satan, Re, Insignia, maybe one based on one of the RAF designs, as there were a lot of RAF squadrons based in the SE.. Visit Here (http://www.raf.mod.uk/bob1940/stations.html)

Melchy, I would be going to the ally pally with a few mates so please feel free to join us, I'll get the first round in and maybe the second if my arm is twisted. Glad you are in on this, I must admit I thought the idea of squadron's was a bit embarrasing and silly, but when you think about it harder, its just a bit of a laugh and you have a focus for a mini club which could grow and be something to be proud of. If it's not pissing down on the 13th I'll pop down and see you strut yo' stuff. Come on Lads, anymore takers??????????

Satan, When is the A.P. Show - yes I know open a bike mag and find out... With my luck this year it'll be raining on the 13th, but the chap I'm going with has a race R1 with wets I can try if it's raining..

Chaps, http://www.r1-forum.com/forums/showthread.php?threadid=20089 Anyone (plus me) up for this ? Any votes on a good hospital ? We might be able to rope in a few other biker mates ?

Melch, Any thoughts on our emblem? I had a look at the site you suggested and they look good to me, we just need a way of incorparating the GRIM REAPER in the design. I don't have access to photo shop so anything I do would look like I got my four year old niece to do (she draws a nice tree though). Do you know anyone else who might want in? I know a couple of people and I'm still waiting on Bozo Skeleton to get back to me. SATAN

When it comes to a toy run for local hospitals, to be honest, they get so many toys that anything we take would just add to the mountain; my girlie used to work on a childrens ward in a hospital in Kent and she told me of the huge amount of stuff they got at christmas time (someone delivered 30 playstations one year!!!). One thing they don't get is stuff for the staff, maybe if we turned up with huge amounts of alchohol and chcolates, well, lets just say we would be quite popular:boobies :boobies :boobies on a more serious note, they are always strapped for cash, so maybe that could be the way to go.:thumbup

Satan, One thing they don't get is stuff for the staff, maybe if we turned up with huge amounts of alchohol and chcolates, well, lets just say we would be quite popular Sounds like a good plan. Call it the "Booze Run". Being popular with nurses ? Always a good idea riding a "donorcycle" :)

Bozo, That is brilliant my man, it's just what i would have liked to have come up with...if I had any talent that is. We'll have to get some patches made, Exactly like your design, I'll look into it chaps. As for the nurse/booze run, that's how I met my girlfriend...ah, nurses and booze, what a combination.

Cheers SATAN, Lord Melch & biaggi...glad you like the design, but having read the rules (after doing it) I'm not so sure it'll go through?!? If it does cool...SATAN you could PM an email address and I'll send you the logo in whatever format you need!:thumbup Lord Melch - you're worried about tempting fate with the name? ...and you're doing a track day on Friday the 13th!!!;)

I think that design is beautiful. Reall nicely done. If you guys are all okay with it, and don't think you'll make any trouble for yourselves, go for it! Again: really nice work! So.... could it be said that SATAN is your leader? hehehe

Lads, I have PM'd R1DER to see if he fancies joining, still waiting a reply. Can't go to your race meet I'm afraid melch, I've been ordered to see the girlfriends family in Devon for the weekend, but hope it all goes well for you (kick ass , boy), funny, until BOZO mentioned it I hadn't thought about the Friday the 13th thing, bloody hell! We really must all meet up in a pub somewhere for a meet and greet (basically talk shit about bikes, birds, beer and sink cool pints of "wife beater"). Somewhere in London close to the stations would be good (charing cross?) or even London bridge if you need to get home quick after a long day at the office. I'll pm BOZO Asap when I find out what format the badge makers need it in. As for the name of the squadron, if you have any ideas, please stick them here, the name isn't carved in stone, so if anyone want's a change then feel free; Grim Reapers just sounded good (rather than pukin dogs or gun slingers (although gunslingers may come in handy if we ever venture into deepest Deptford:p ) Have a look through the names and see what you come up with (though if we change it we are going to have to get BOZO to do another patch...and pay him in the afore mentioned "wife beater"). I do want everyone to feel comfortable with whatever name is chosen!!! SATAN

Or we could just be the Reapers (no grim), this may sound a bit less threatening. What say you?

Satan, Or we could just be the Reapers (no grim), All names fine my me, Grim just about sums up the weather anyway :) I can meet in London if need be, I'm there working tomorrow - time to give the heated kit a good go.....

I imagine you weather must be very similar to what we've been getting here in Seattle for the last 2-3 weeks... rain, broken by times of fog, interspersed with showers, and the occasional drizzle. There was a picture in the newspaper the other day of someone paddling his surboard down the street. "In Seattle, we don't tan... we rust."
