display screen problem?

Well I think there might be a problem with my electronic display screen. I was at lights today and decided to press the select button to see how many km's I have done on the Trip A counter and check if I needed petrol. I clicked Select once and it went straight to the Stop Watch 000000 setting and would not budge from there. 20 minutes later I managed to get it to move from the Stop Watch by holding in the Select button until all the 000000's were flashing, then I could move on to the Trip A and Trip B etc. If the 000000's are not flashing then I can't move forward, only while they are flashing can I move on. I don't remember it being this way before. Can someone check with their 07 if the 000000's of the Stop Watch have to be flashing before you can move on to the Trip A etc Thanks.
