2007 Convention: Who's Gettin' Ready Already?

I know I'm 'posed to be a man and hold my emotions back but hot damn,,,, I'm ready folks! :jump Summer cold got me last year and this year, I've got the same sumbeech but a few weeks early. :rock Feelin' better already so's I went out to the shop this mornin' to start gettin' the R1 ready for the track day at Barber and makin' it so I can have it in street trim in 30 mins. or less for when I get to Fontana. I bought a cheap set of "fog lights" from Advanced Auto Parts, and a set of dual function LED tail/brake lights from Hyper-Lite. Got it all installed today and did a "test run" around the lakes down by S Fl U just a little while ago. :sneaky Plug and Play,,,, I can make this puppy be track or street in 15 minutes. :rock I also mounted a set of ZRX bar end mirrors that I bought from a very prominent ZRXer but I don't quite like the angle I mounted them. Brad, Kevin,,,, help a brother out! :) Need another set of bar-ends so it'll look all purdy and stuff. :fact With all that said, here's a couple of pics of the fruits of my labor today. Now is time to make a Jim Bean and Sprite, throw a steak on the grill and hit up the XBOX for my Cortana refreshment. :boobies

ben are you sure that the fog light wil not hit the front fender. i had to mount mine on top of the fairing so it was out of the way. i need to worry about packing the next few days and need to run to liquor store still. i have to change rear tire buy a new front. mount the race tires on the spare set of wheels just incase.

I'm pretty sure not James. I actually did think about that and if my measurements and trig are right, it's gonna miss it by about 3/8" even adding in a 1/4" of tire mush at full bottom on the forks. Got my Power Races on the bike now for Barber. Got a new set of 2CT's mounted on the OEM rims to change out when Scott and I get to Fontana on Sunday. Cleanin' out the tool box on the trailer today and try to get summat organized. Damn what a fookin' mess. :beer :lol

Wet, but just enough for the tires to really bite in and allow me to launch. I got about 1.5 hours of solid riding in before it began to downpour. After 1.5 hours, it stopped and I went back out on the track. It was like riding on 4" of grease! :eek: Didn't go down, but barely made it up any of the jumps and thought for certain I was going to bite it on the backside of the table ops. :scared It's too bad I'm not going to be able to make it now (doctor's appointments are filling the week up :( ) as I think I'd give Chad and Plimmer a run for their money. I can't get the trailer in the garage. I need help getting it loaded and I don't know who could help in the morning. well just loaded the bike in the truck, i will see ya all there around 8-9 pm,blue chevy z-71 w/charcoal R1 in the back :) (and some metal pouring out of the windows lol)
